Sarsfields
GFC have donated tops that have been left over from this and previous year’s
summer camps. Diana Dunina a Chernobyl child from Belarus is staying with Bernadette
and Dominic Lavery’s family for three weeks as part of a respite programme
organised by the local Chernobyl Childrens Appeal charity of which Bernadette is
secretary. Bernadette explained “there are nine children staying in the greater
Lurgan area this year and there is a full programme of activities scheduled for
them. The tops Sarsfields have donated will be given out to all the visitors
and will be very gratefully received. They will go home to Belarus for either
themselves or other family members. Please pass on our sincere thanks to the
committee for this kind gesture.”
