Culloville 2-09 Sarsfields 3-09
Having scored just three first half points and losing by eight at half time Sarsfields staged an amazing second half comeback in Culloville. Sarsfields had the perfect start to the second half with goals from Thomas McAlinden and Richie Stevenson within three minutes of the restart. With ten minutes gone Sarsfields had edged ahead. Peter Stevenson snuffed out several Culloville attacks and the Highmoss took full advantage with Paul Magee pushing forward out of defence. Culloville took over twenty minutes to get their first score from a free in the second half. By this time Sarsfields had hit 2-05 without reply. Any hope of a home comeback was well and truly dented when Eamon McGeown hit the Hoops third goal in a superb move involving the whole half forward line. Culloville registered a dubious goal deep in injury time. The Highmoss umpire was adamant the ball hadn't crossed the line. To be fair the referee saw no need to worry about the goal as he was blowing for full time on the kick out. This win takes Sarsfields above Culloville and seven points away from the relegation zone with five matches remaining.
