Sarsfields 8-09 Shane O’Neill’s 5-07
Sarsfields came under pressure early in this game and with Shane’s dominating they went behind to three early goals. After ten minutes Shane O’Neill’s had a ten point lead at 3-02 to 0-01. The Highmoss team showed good determination to claw their way back into the game, but it was very much an uphill battle. By half time the team had reduced the gap to two points, scoring 2-03 without reply. Had a couple of chances gone their way Sarsfields could certainly have led. Liam McVeigh was particularly unlucky to have been denied a second goal as the first half closed. At the break it was 3-03 to 2-04 in favor of the Camlough side
Playing up the hill against a well drilled Shane O’Neill’s, the odds were definitely against Sarsfields. However Sarsfields played some great football and dominated the second half scoring six goals in the process. Fair play to Shane O’Neill’s who never gave up and came back with two late goals.

Sarsfields now play their neighbours and close rivals Wolfe Tones in an eagerly anticipated final.
